Writing
Notes on community, ambassador programs and AI adoption, written from Belgrade.
Event pages, promo visuals, an ecosystem CRM and a 5-day founder playbook. The files I actually use, written down so your Lovable agent starts with the same context.
Serbian startups raised $43.9M in 2025. Pre-seed doubled, seed halved. Here is where early-stage money in Serbia actually comes from, with sources.
What it means, why I said yes, and what I'll be doing with it in Belgrade and online: hands-on sessions, real demos, and practical Claude workflows.
Third decline in a row, Belgrade out of the global top 200, and neighbours growing four times faster. The conditions are there. The startups are not following at the same pace.
I talked about this in front of 100 people in Belgrade and then had to keep doing it every day. Here is the honest version: what an AI partner replaces, what it does not, and where it quietly makes you worse.
I have shipped several small products this way as a non-technical person. The build stopped being the expensive part, and something else took its place.
I co-created an accelerator and run a monthly meetup and a community of 1,100+ people. AI changed parts of that work and quietly damaged others. Both lists are short and specific.
Serbia exported 4.55 billion euro of ICT services in 2025. It is a real number and it hides the thing that actually matters for founders here.
The Startup Scanner surveyed 170 startups in Serbia. More of them plan to raise than ever, and for the third year in a row they hired fewer people than they said they would.
Serbia sat 56th in 2025 in the global startup rankings, 14th in Eastern Europe, with 305 million dollars invested since 2017. Here is what those figures do and do not tell you about Belgrade.
What the certification actually means, why I went through it as a non-technical person, and how it changes the way I build products with founders and organizations here.
The 2026 Startup Scanner numbers are blunt: a third of startups here earned nothing last year, another third earned up to 50,000 euro, and a quarter are planning to raise over a million.
MIT's NANDA researchers found that 95 percent of enterprise generative AI pilots produce no measurable return. Read closely, that is not a verdict on the technology.
What I keep seeing between what frontier tools can already do and what organizations here are set up to absorb, and what actually closes that gap.
Southeast Europe attracted 398.3 million euro of venture capital across 109 transactions in 2025, up nearly 40 percent. Here is what that scale actually implies for founders here.
The mapping of early-stage cybersecurity startups across Southeast Europe, and why only two confirmed active product startups sit in Serbia.
Notes from shipping small products with AI tooling: what these tools genuinely do, where they stop, and why I would rather find out from the inside.
